Hello, I’m Michael Kinsey and I’m incarcerated at South Central Correctional center in Licking, MO. South Central Correctional Center doesn’t allow the residents to receive physical mail because of the believed perception of the constant overdoes that had occurred which this theory has been debunked. However, removing physical mail deprives families of being able to connect such as when my daughter wants to send me a hand written letter, they can’t because of this absurd policy as well as copies of report cards and other symbolic pictures that captures this precious moments in time that can NEVER be replaced. This this type of systematic oppression that breaks up the family structure even more by not allowing families to bond over these simple but meaningful pieces of paper which goes against Missouri Department Of Corrections motto.
