Missouri Prison Reform received the following message from a resident of a Missouri Prison.
Here at the JCCC the Warden signed an IOC (Inner Office Communication) that stated when kitchen workers are done in their respected areas they can leave for the day, however a newly promoted Sergeant on a power trip Stated He don’t care about that IOC, he went further to say “F” the Warden I am here and she isn’t! This kind of thing happens all the time. In the MVE factory the workers are suppose to get big yard, however a CO 1 violated policy and wrote her own IOC (Inner Office Communication) that says they can’t leave for recreation. This is a signed policy what authority does a CO 1 have to change or alter policy and on top !of that a Deputy Warden went along with wring doing and signed off as well! The director needs to step up on issues like these, the Warden and Directors are being under mined by their staff and this causes issues. This says to all offenders that the Warden and Directors are weak they allow their staff to under mind their authority, ignore policies change policies, write third own policies and just be disrespectful to them with no consequences. Someone Needs to look into these issues
