Missouri Prison Reform received the following message from a resident of a Missouri Prison. Some edits were made for clarity.
It is a shame DOC stopped the good time bill but it does not surprise me. They like to keep people in prison to keep that money filling their pocket books. Another idea is when a person goes in front of a judge, that judge who is seeing them, should not be running for reelection. Since we can have an unbiased jury, we should have a judge that is also unbiased. Because any judge who is running for reelection will make sure that the person who is seeing them get the max sentence.
