On January 23, 2021 Missouri Prison Reform submitted a sunshine request to the Missouri Department of Corrections for purchase orders for their “covid killing technology” that they stated was purchased in December of 2020.
On Wednesday, January 27, 2021, the records custodian for Missouri Department of Corrections sent us an email stating that they needed more time to collect the records and get them to us.
On February 19, 2021 we still hadn’t received a response so we followed up but didn’t get an answer at all.
On March 5, 2021, we filed a complain with Missouri’s Attorney General Eric Schmitt. Per the AG’s website, we should’ve heard back in 7-10 days. We still haven’t received a response from Mr. Schmitt’s office.
Isn’t this the point of Missouri’s Sunshine Law?
