On January 23, 2021 we submitted a sunshine request for the purchase order for the DOC’s “Covid killing technology”. On January 27, 2021 we received a response stating they needed more time to provide these documents. If these “technologies” have been purchased, why does the DOC need so much time to provide the purchase order?
Perhaps the DOC should pay more, treat their employees better, and give better training…just for starters. They’ll hire just about anyone, though. That’s obvious. Now they’re mass-mailing out these.
Staff and the incarcerated alike are frustrated by this. You can thank Anne Precythe. The incarcerated are also being lied to when they begin treatment; they’re being told they will be released early for doing treatment then finding out that’s not true

We received the following email from an incarcerated individual at SECC/Charleston regarding the incident last week when several staff members were assaulted.
This is an email we received about more negligence by Corizon. When will someone hold them accountable? We hear so many stories like this and Corizon has had so many lawsuits brought against them. But they continue to be allowed to do things like this to people.
